The King is dying. He needs a new heart for his enormous chest, a powerful engine to pump the blood in his body and bring him to life for many centuries, again. To find the adequate heart, his emissaries had to travel for hundreds of miles, through unknown lands and nightmares. It is the year 2105, Anno Domini. The distance between humans and machines is almost null, and the limit has been already overpassed by several decades. The Evil is inside each of us at birth. By ages, Men are trying to cure it through useless religious cerimonies, but it’s impossible to destroy completely. I’m quite sure this is the worst case of religious stigmata in the world, and obviously it can’t be fake… I decided to leave the drawing ‘unfinished’ because I like the contrast with the complete and detailed parts of it. Click for full size image. Oh no, poor cow! Just to avoid any doubt, I like cows. I love the animal, the milk and also the meat. Oh… and happy fucking Valentine’s Day. Done on A4 sketchbook with mechanical and standard 2B/4B pencils, reference used for the animal pose (it was not slaughtered in the picture).

Click for full size image. A completely random evil mixture. Done on A4 paper with mechanical 2B and 4B standard pencil. The blurred background is obtained smudging the graphite with a piece of soft paper, then I simply created some highlights with the eraser. In this way volumes are much stronger than usual, and it is also extremely fun to do!

Click for full size image. A sleeping baby demon. Done on A4 paper sketchbook using 2B and 4B pencil and 2b mechanical pencil for the small details. Reference used for the baby pose. I really enjoied playing with soft shadows to create volumes and shapes, it is just exciting!
